Hello! My name is Melissa Russiano and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Professor with over twenty-six years of experience in the field. As a big believer in resiliency and being truly authentic, my career has been focused on working with women to achieve personal empowerment, a solid self-identity grounded in truth, and achieving the goals they have identified in order to be able to thrive. Due to technology, I am excited to be able to expand my clinical practice to any client within the five states that I am licensed in via a HIPPA compliant virtual platform. In addition, my coaching practice has expanded nationally, as well as into Canada and Germany, which has been amazing to reach far beyond the boundaries of Erie, Pennsylvania.
I am passionate about life, its possibilities and am grounded in my life through providing empowering services that help women, as well as future clinicians achieve their goals.
My Master’s degree is from Florida State University and I am licensed in the states of California, Pennsylvania, Texas, Ohio and Tennessee for clinical therapy, as well as clinical supervision hours for the ASWB social work exam.
My goal is to help individuals identify, address and resolve barriers that prevent them from achieving the life they are seeking. Through creative teaching and clinical work that draws from many years of experience, my desire is to partner with individuals in a unique manner to allow them to be able to thrive instead of simply exist. After a successful career in administration, as well as direct clinical practice, I am excited to be able to now coach, teach, speak and mentor other people how to achieve the same success through the work of Dr. Brené Brown as a Daring Way™ Certified Facilitator, learn how to end a relationship with grace and respect, as well as understand that as a clinical therapist you can still be human and need consultation or supervision services.
